About Norfolk DCS

The Norfolk Deaf children's Society (Norfolk DCS), which is affiliated to the National Deaf Children's Society, was originally set up in 1962 and comprised of a group of individuals concerned with deafness and deaf issues in their local community.

The Norfolk DCS today is made up of parents of deaf children, young deaf people, people who work with deaf children and friends and family of both deaf children and of the Society.

The Society is parents led and is run purely on a voluntary basis. We aim to support all deaf children, young deaf people and their families in overcoming the challenges of childhood deafness.

All of our committee members have been DBS checked and have attended a Child Protection course.

Our Society is reliant on donations and fundraising events. We charge a small annual membership fee to help towards our costs and apply for grants but would always welcome further donations. Please contact the Society if you wish to make a donation or help us with fundraising. We would always be grateful for your support to give children the support they need.

If you wish to see what we have planned, please see our Facebook page.
